Shmuel Rabinowitz has been appointed manager of real estate contracts for Samuel Brown, Esq., a Lakewood attorney who specializes in real estate. Rabinowitz helps clients by facilitating the real estate process from the time a contract is out of attorney review until its final closing.

Rabinowitz’s duties include helping clients submit documents and meet deadlines. He is also responsible for recording pertinent data.

Prior to joining Samuel Z. Brown Law, Rabinowitz was the general manager of Lucien Piccard Watch Co. in New York. He was educated at Ponovez Yeshiva, in Israel, and at Beth Medrash Govoha, in Lakewood. He is secretary to the Board of Head Start, the Lakewood Economic Action Program.

Ocean County YMCA has been awarded $10,000 by the OceanFirst Foundation of Toms River for the “Y-Cares” financial assistance program. The grant will provide financial assistance for memberships, programs and child care and will benefit those who cannot afford to participate otherwise. Through the “Y-Cares” financial assistance program, the Ocean County YMCA strives to serve the community by making its programs, services and facilities available to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.

The Lakewood Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a “Job Shadow-ing Day” with Lakewood High School students. The students will be at the chamber’s general membership luncheon meeting May 24 at the Ramada Inn and Suites, Toms River. Networking will begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch at noon.
