WOW! Work Out World will be collecting personal hygiene products on behalf of our troops during Memorial Day weekend, May 28-29. The WOW! group fitness department of Brick is asking that each group fitness attendee bring at least one personal hygiene product as their “entry” into class for the weekend of May 28-29. The following items are being requested: shampoo and conditioner, toothbrushes and toothpaste, brushes and combs, sunblock and travel-size aspirin. Guests are welcome over the weekend with a donated item for club entry. The collected items will be shipped to the Marines and Sailors of Combat Logistics Battalion 2, II Marine Expeditionary Force. Mario Iacono, PGA professional, will present “Golf, the Unofficial Sport of Business,” at the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce Industrial Luncheon, June 1. The luncheon will be held at The View Restaurant at Eagle Ridge Golf Club, 2 Augusta Blvd., Lakewood. Networking will begin at 11:30 a.m. with lunch at noon. The Howell Chamber of Commerce announced that the following events will be taking place: June 4, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Cowboy Adventure at Curry Farms, 177 Georgia Tavern Road — a fund-raiser for the Howell First Aid Squad.
