Philip D. Holcombe Jr.
   Philip D. Holcombe Jr., 80, of Ewing Township died June 2 at Capital Health System, Fuld Campus.
   Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
   He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps in Europe during World War II. He retired as a captain from the Trenton Fire Department after 32 years of service. He had held offices and been a member of Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Ashlar Lodge F&AM in Trenton, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Central Jersey, Crescent Temple AAONMS of Trenton and Trenton Cyrus Lodge No. 5 of Pennington.
   He also was a life member of the Mercer County Fireman’s Association, the Pennington Road Fire Company and Capital View Fire Company. He was a member of the Signal 22 Fire-Police Canteen.
   Son of the late Philip D. Sr., and Myrtle Budd Holcombe, brother of the late Howard W. Holcombe and longtime companion Madelyn K. Bloom, he is survived by three daughters and a brother-in-law, Carol Holcombe of Ewing Township, Kim Holcombe and her husband Mckinley Williams of Ewing Township, and Linda Holcombe of North Port, Fla.; a sister Virginia H. Doan of Langhorne, Pa.; five grandchildren, Justin and Laura Williams, Daniel, Michael and Chandra Brechner; and other relatives and many friends.
   Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Ewing Cemetery with the Signal 22 Chaplain Walter Kramarz officiating.
   Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. today (Monday) at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Pennington Circle.
   In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions may be made to the Pennington Road Fire Company, 1666 Pennington Road, Ewing, 08638, or the Signal 22 Canteen, 1005 S. Clinton Ave, Trenton, 08618.

Florence V. Burr
   Florence V. "Sis" Burr of Langhorne, Pa., died May 31 Tuesday at the Brunswick Building in Attleboro Retirement Village, Langhorne, Pa.
   Born in Pennington, she had been a resident of Morrisville, Pa., since 1992 before moving to Langhorne, Pa.
   Mrs. Burr was the wife of the late Captain Paul J. Burr, USN.
   Memorial services will be held at a date to be announced.
   Arrangements are by the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, 41 W. Trenton Ave., Morrisville, Pa.
Robert R. McGinnis
   Robert R. McGinnis, 69, of Ewing Township died Friday at Capital Health System, Mercer Campus.
   Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident.
   He was a U.S. Army veteran.
   He retired from Howe Richardson Scale Company in Trenton. He was a volunteer for the Ewing Township Fire Police and was a member of the Ewing Senior Citizens Club.
   Son of the late Joseph E. and Grace E. McGinnis, he is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Tara and Richard Shirk of Tennessee, and Shannon McGinnis of Ewing Township; a sister, Grace Miller of Titusville; two grandchildren, Tifani and James Shirk; and three nephews, Walter Jr., Dennis and David Miller.
   Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. today (Monday) at the Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing, with the Rev. Roderick Mills, officiating.
   There will be no calling hours.
