Elda E. Marotta

Mrs. Marotta, 89, of Whiting, died June 2 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Born in Union City, she had lived in Bound Brook before moving to Whiting five years ago. Mrs. Marotta was predeceased by her husband, Michael Marotta, in 1965; and a grandson, Matthew Costanzo, in 2003. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, John J. Sr. and Camille Marotta of Millstone Township; a daughter and son-in-law, Lina Costanzo and Keith Robertson of Charleston, S.C.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Maude Dunn

Mrs. Dunn, 101, of Freehold Township, died June 3 at Applewood Estates, Freehold Township. Born in Lockport, N.Y., she had lived in Olivia, N.C., and Bloomfield before moving to Freehold Township 10 years ago. Mrs. Dunn was a hospital laboratory technician before her marriage to Theodore Beitel Dunn, M.D. Her husband died in 1994. Mrs. Dunn is survived by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by interment at Hackensack Cemetery, Hackensack.

Lucy L. Serravillo

Mrs. Serravillo, 94, of Manalapan, died June 2 at Liberty Manor Assisted Living Residence, Manalapan. Born in Newark, she had lived in Florida and Middletown before moving to Englishtown four years ago. She was a clerk at Acme Markets, Chatham, for many years. She was also a seamstress and a volunteer at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Mrs. Serravillo was predeceased by her first husband, Larry Leone, and her second husband, Charles Serravillo; two sisters, Antoinette Leone and Angelina Villano; two brothers, Philip and Harry Visco; and a grandson, Paul Leone. Surviving are a daughter, Rosemarie Hemmendinger of Marlboro; a son, Lawrence Leone of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three brothers, John, Ralph and Carmen Visco; two sisters, Marie Sulley and Anne Mendolia; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan, followed by entombment at Forest Lawn Central Mausoleum, Fort Lauderdale. Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.

Ruth Mae Stelle

Mrs. Stelle, 76, of Manalapan, died June 2 at home. Born in Flagler, Colo., she had lived in Manalapan for six years and had previously resided in Lancaster, Pa. She was an active member of Christian Neighbors in Covered Bridge, Manalapan. Mrs. Stelle was predeceased in 1998 by her husband of 50 years, Robert Westbrook Stelle. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and John Mottola of Belford; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Mary Stelle of North Smithfield, R.I.; five grandchildren, including granddaughter Michelle Conti and her husband, Christian, of Hazlet; and a great-granddaughter. A funeral service was held at King of Kings Lutheran Church, Middletown, followed by burial at Fair View Cemetery, also Middletown. John F.
