Solebury

A Philadelphia policeman was killed when his motorcycle slammed into the rear of the pickup truck, and he and his bike were tossed into the path of another vehicle Saturday at about 3:30 p.m.
Stephen J. McCusker, 41, of Glen Campbell Road, Philadelphia, and a sergeant with the Philadelphia Police Department, was killed in the three-vehicle traffic accident on Route 202 and Reeder Road.
A pickup truck driven by Christina A Gray, 49, of Reeder Road, New Hope, was going south on Route 202 and stopped to make a left turn on Reeder Road. She was hit from behind by the motorcycle, also going south, police said.
Police said Mr. McCusker apparently did not see the truck and hit the pickup in the rear. He was thrown into the north lane of Route 202 where the bike and driver was hit by another vehicle driven by Ruth Willmott, 86, of Sugan Road, New Hope.
Mr. McCusker was pronounced dead at Doylestown Hospital where he was taken by the Lambertville-New Hope Ambulance and Rescue Squad and medics from Central Bucks.
There were no other injuries. All vehicles were towed. The investigation is continuing by accident investigators from Solebury and Buckingham Township police departments.
The highway was closed for about 2½ hours. Fire police from the New Hope Eagle Fire Company detoured traffic.
Friday at about 8 p.m., there was a two-vehicle accident on Route 202 south of Aquetong Road.
A vehicle going north on Route 202 and driven by Richard F. Morris III, 43, of Meadowlark Court, Flemington, was unable to stop for a red traffic light and struck a vehicle in the rear.
The driver of that vehicle was Ray Reinard, 74, of Street Road, New Hope.
No injuries were reported. Both vehicles were towed.
Sunday at 4 a.m., police received a report of a fight at a large party, which had taken place on Sage Meadows off Pidcock Creek Road.
Police received a reported of an injured person being treated at St. Mary Hospital in Langhorne. The victim, 26, of Richboro, Pa., was being treated for a possible broken ankle.
Police are interviewing a number of people to get more details, but the investigation is moving slowly because there reportedly were around 200 at the party, police said.
June 28 at 11 a.m., police charged Andrew Cychowski, 22, of Vernasa Drive, Langhorne, Pa., with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief at Rice’s Market on Greenhill Road after Mr. Cychowski reportedly upset a vendor’s table after having an argument over items for sale.
No cost estimate of damages has been received.
June 28 at 12:35 p.m., there was a minor two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Aquetong and Stoney Hill roads.
A car driven by Dorothy E. Hamell, 77, of Black Watch Court, Horsham, Pa., was going east on Stoney Hill Road. Police said she stopped at the stop sign, but did not see a car coming south on Aquetong Road, driven by Marian D. Kardos, 65, of Edgemont Road, Yardville, N.J.
Police said Ms. Hamell pulled out and hit Ms. Kardos’ vehicle.
There were no injuries. Both vehicles were driven away.
Solebury and Buckingham Township police departments are continuing their drug investigation and arrested a second person, Brittany J. Fields, 27, of Heather Drive, Princeton Junction.
Mr. Fields was arrested Tuesday, June 28, in New Jersey on a warrant issued in Bucks County and is being held in Mercer County Prison awaiting extradition back to Pennsylvania.
The warrant charges Mr. Fields with criminal conspiracy of the delivery of a control substance, criminal use of a communication facility, intimidation of witnesses or victims and terroristic threats.
Mr. Fields also was the owner of the car seized during the drug arrest of Zachary Pae and is being forfeited under the drug forfeiture act, police said.
This investigation is ongoing and could lead to additional arrests, police said. This investigation is being funded through the Bucks County District Attorneys Office.
