Exhibit reprises art journey

The show of works by the Staten Island artist includes 80 paintings and will run through Oct. 1.

A native of Rome, Italy, Cento’s oeuvre encompasses mostly watercolor paintings, plus oils, acrylics and mixed-media collages.

Her work is marked by an expressive quality and a fluid, loose approach.

She studied at the American Art School and Art Students League, both in New York, and The Art Lab at Snug Harbor Cultural Center in Staten Island.

She taught art for several years and has exhibited widely. Her works are in private collections in the U.S., Italy, England, Canada and the Bahamas
