Patricia Ann Poole Fenlon

Mrs. Fenlon, 75, of Tannersville, Pa., formerly of Old Bridge, died Sept. 5 in Pleasant Valley Manor, Stroudsburg, Pa. Her husband, Donald Fenlon, died in 1971. Surviving are a son, William Fenlon of North Carolina; two daughters, Patricia Ann Mitchell of Tannersville and Donna Jane Johnson of Sayreville; a sister, Betty Jane Bryant of the Perrineville section of Millstone; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan.

Marie J. McGuire Purcell

Mrs. Purcell, 80, of Manalapan, died Sept. 11 at Jackson Health Care Center, Jackson. Born in Jersey City, she had resided there until moving to Manalapan seven years ago. Before her retirement, Mrs. Purcell was a telephone operator for Verizon, Jersey City, for more than 30 years. She was predeceased by her husband, William R. Purcell; a daughter, Eileen Nowicki; and a son, Michael Purcell. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Margaret and Walter Lozeski of Manalapan; a son and daughter-in-law, William and Rosemary Purcell of Woodbridge; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. The Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.

W. Gloria Richmond Byard

Mrs. Byard, of Hamilton Square, died Sept. 13 at Capital Health System-Fuld campus, Trenton. Formerly of North Plainfield, she had resided in the Trenton area for most of her life. She was a secretary for the state and federal government and a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees (NARFE). She was a longtime communicant of the Allentown Presbyterian Church. She also belonged to the ECHO senior citizens club and Order of the Eastern Star, Victory Chapter No. 96. Mrs. Bayard was predeceased by her husband, Hilton R. Byard. Surviving are a sister-in-law, Ann Richmond of Hamilton, and two cousins, Ceola and Bill Wentizien of Upper Freehold. A funeral service was held at Allentown Presbyterian Church, with Dr. Stephen Heinzel-Nelson officiating. Interment took place at Allentown Presbyterian Cemetery.
