John Impellizeri

   MANVILLE — John J. Impellizeri died Nov. 28 in Atlantic Hospice in Morristown. He was 75.
   Born in Manville, he was a resident of Manville most of his life before moving to Bridgewater 25 years ago.
   Mr. Impellizeri retired after 35 years of employment with John’s Manville Corporation and was a member of their Quarter Century Club. He also worked for the State of New Jersey in the Transportation Department.
   He served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Salem during the Korean War.
   He was a life member of the Thomas J. Kavanaugh Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2290 in Manville and a member of American Legion Post 12 in Somerville.
   A brother, Jack Impellizeri; and sister, Jenny Ellis are deceased.
   Surviving are a son, Gary of Long Valley; one daughter, Sharon A. Pongrazzi of Hillsborough; their mother, Irene Impellizeri of Somerville, one brother, Anthony of Toms River; a sister, Phyllis Esposito of Cresco, Pa.; three grandchildren; and his friend, Patricia Creange of Basking Ridge.
   Funeral services will be held a 9:15 a.m. today from Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home in Manville, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral liturgy at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Hillsborough. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Hillsborough.
   Relatives and friends may attend the final visitation from 8:45 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
