Helen H. Zastocki

Mrs. Zastocki, 78, of Millstone, died Dec. 3 at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pompton Plains. Born in Highland Park, she had resided in Millstone for 50 years. She was a graduate of Highland Park High School and a communicant of St. Joseph’s Parish, Hillsborough. Mrs. Zastocki was predeceased by a daughter, Cynthia Mullen, and a son, Joseph Zastocki. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Louis Zastocki; and a daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Zastocki and Christopher Tighe of Randolph. Funeral services were conducted at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick, followed by a Mass at St. Joseph’s Parish.

Howard Dawson Waters Sr.

Mr. Waters, 92, of Bushnell, Fla., and Millstone, died Nov. 30 at his daughter’s home in Millstone. Mr. Waters was born in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., and had lived there before moving to Millstone Township in 1942. He and his wife retired to Florida in 1979. Mr. Waters was a farmer in Millstone. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Millstone, where he served as a deacon and elder, and a member of the Monmouth County Board of Agriculture. He also was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge No. 1454 and the Monmouth Grange, both of Freehold. Mr. Waters is survived by his wife, Hazel Northrop Waters; a son and daughter-in-law, Howard D. Jr. and Kathleen Waters; two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara Waters, and Estelle and Frank D’Amico, all of Millstone; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the United Presbyterian Church of Millstone, with the Rev. Gregory J. Pike officiating. Interment followed at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan. Frederick G. Storz

Mr. Storz, 63, of Manalapan, died Nov. 28 at Celebrations Hospital, Orlando, Fla. He was raised in Marlboro and moved to Manalapan 35 years ago. Mr. Storz was employed for 33 years in the research department at AT&T and Lucent Technologies, Holmdel, before his retirement in 2001. He was vice chairman of the Monmouth County Planning Board, a member of the Manalapan Township Republican Club, a commissioner of the Western Monmouth Utilities Authority for 15 years, a former member of the Manalapan Township Recreation Department, and a coach in the Manalapan Soccer Club for many years. He also was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks No. 1454, Freehold. Mr. Storz is survived by his wife, Carol J. Vanderveer Storz; three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Danielle Storz of Eatontown, Rick and Marietta Storz and Keith and Lisa Storz, all of Brick Township; a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Donna Storz of California; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Charles Lloyd of Howell; four grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.
