Joseph Schultz
Mr. Schultz, 74, of Englishtown, died Nov. 18 at home. Born in New York City, he had lived in Old Bridge before moving to Englishtown 10 years ago. Prior to retiring in 1991, he was a supervisor for Insulating Specialties in Hillside for more than 40 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, who served during the Korean War. He was also a past member of St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Old Bridge. Mr. Schultz was predeceased in 1983 by his wife, Lorraine. Surviving are a son, Mitchell Schultz of Englishtown; two daughters, Arlene Tetro of Howell and Joan Collins of Boca Raton, Fla.; and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, followed by a funeral Mass at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Interment took place at Forest Green Park Cemetery, Marlboro.
Clara Helen Potenza
Mrs. Potenza, 87, of Jackson, died Nov. 19 at Bartley Health Care Nursing & Rehabilitation, Jackson. Born in New York City, she had lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., and then in Freehold before moving to Jackson three years ago. She was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold Township. Mrs. Potenza was predeceased by her husband, Frank, in 1990, as well as two brothers and two sisters. Surviving are a son, Rocco Potenza of Freehold; three daughters, Virginia Merola of Freehold Township, Angela Marmo of Montville and Debra Potenza of Howell; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, followed by interment at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn, N.Y. Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.
Adam J. Pensak
Mr. Pensak, 94, of New Brunswick, died Nov. 27 at Willow Creek Rehabilitation and Care Center, Somerset. Born in Elizabeth, he had lived in New Brunswick for the past 65 years. Prior to retiring in 1967, Mr. Pensak worked for Sears, New Brunswick, for many years in sales and also in the repair department. He was a life member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Somerset. Mr. Pensak was predeceased by his wife, Stella, in 1956, as well as three sisters, Mary Rayzer, Albina Jarosz and Gizela Krok. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Joseph Sagi of New Brunswick; two sisters, Josephine Boguszewski of Elizabeth and Katherine Turon of Poland; two brothers, Frank Pensak of New Brunswick and Joseph Pensak of Jackson; a granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at the Brunswick Memorial Funeral Home, East Brunswick, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Roman Catholic Church, New Brunswick. Interment took place at St. Peter’s Cemetery, New Brunswick.
Frederick G. Storz
Mr. Storz, 63, of Manalapan, died Nov. 28 at Celebrations Hospital, Orlando, Fla. He was raised in Marlboro and moved to Manalapan 35 years ago. Mr. Storz was employed for 33 years in the research department at AT&T and Lucent Technologies, Holmdel, before his retirement in 2001. He was vice chairman of the Monmouth County Planning Board, a member of the Manalapan Township Republican Club, a commissioner of the Western Monmouth Utilities Authority for 15 years, a former member of the Manalapan Township Recreation Department, and a coach in the Manalapan Soccer Club for many years. He also was a member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks No. 1454, Freehold. Mr. Storz is survived by his wife, Carol J. Vanderveer Storz; three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Danielle Storz of Eatontown, Rick and Marietta Storz and Keith and Lisa Storz, all of Brick Township; a brother and sister-in-law, Ralph and Donna Storz of California; a sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Charles Lloyd of Howell; four grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. The Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.
