Police Beat for the week of Dec. 22

BORDENTOWN CITY
   A Burlington man was charged with driving while intoxicated after driving into a snow bank and almost hitting another car on Route 130 South at 2:04 a.m. on Dec. 11.
   Police said Michael Scafiro, 32, was seen drifting into a snow bank and then swerving back into his lane, almost hitting a passing car, according to police.
   Mr. Scafiro also was charged with reckless driving and failure to maintain a lane, police said. Mr. Scafiro was released to a friend, police said.
BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP
   A Mount Laurel woman was charged with driving while intoxicated after officers stopped her for a broken headlight on Route 206 South on Dec. 13 at 2:20 a.m.
   When the officers approached Holly Curry, 27, she showed signs of intoxication and police could smell alcohol, police said. Ms. Curry failed sobriety tests, said police. Ms. Curry was released to a friend, police said.

   A Burlington woman was charged with soliciting prostitution at the Petro Truck Stop on Route 206 South at 12:28 a.m. on Dec. 10.
   Township officers were contacted by truck stop security officials, who received complaints from truck drivers that Catherine Costa-Davis, 42, was banging on their vehicles and asking if they wanted a "date," police said. The security officials told Ms. Davis to leave, but she refused, police said.
   Ms. Davis was issued a summons and released pending a court appearance, police said.

   A man and woman from Willingboro were both charged with possession of marijuana at 4:45 p.m. on Dec. 1.
   Officers were led to the Route 206 motel room of Rufus A. Williams Jr., 31, and Sheree N. Wilson, 24, because of an active warrant for Mr. Williams’ arrest, police said. Before entering the room, officers detected the odor of burning marijuana, police said.
   Inside, police found a partially smoked marijuana blunt on the dresser and three small baggies, police said. Mr. Williams admitted that the marijuana was his, police said.
   After Ms. Wilson was asked for identification, police spotted another baggie of marijuana inside her purse, police said.
   Ms. Wilson was released after receiving a summons, and Mr. Williams was released after posting $1,455 bail on his outstanding warrant from Edgewater Park, police said.
