   Someone stole copper wire valued at $50,000 from Arch Electric on Commerce Drive in Dayton sometime in December.

   Someone stole a blue, four-door Toyota Camry after breaking one of its windows at Dayton Toyota on Route 130 between 6 and 9 p.m. Tuesday.

   William Smith, 53 of New York was charged with driving while intoxicated, refusing to give a breath test and careless driving after he ran his car into two others at the intersection of Deans Lane and Georges Road at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, police said.
   Police said no one was injured in the accident. They also said they had no other information regarding how the accident happened.
   Police said that when police arrived at the scene they approached Mr. Smith’s vehicle and noticed his eyes were bloodshot and watery and that his speech was slurred. Police said Mr. Smith also had a hard time getting documents from his glove compartment.
   Police said he failed several roadside sobriety tests and was taken to police headquarters where he refused to take a Breathalyzer test. He was processed and released.

   Someone broke into a shed at Brunswick Acres School and stole a weed whacker and a leaf blower between Dec. 28 and Dec. 29.
   Police said three padlocks that secured the shed were removed and entry was gained from the door.

   Someone stole an electronic reindeer valued at $40 from a Bedford Road, Kendall Park, residence in Kendall Park sometime before 6 p.m. Sunday.

   Someone broke into a Fresh Ponds Road home between 5 p.m. Saturday and 1:40 a.m. Sunday and stole a safe containing $1,000.

   The second-floor bedroom of a Kathy Street home was struck by lightning at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, damaging the interior and exterior walls of the house.
   Police said the two residents were uninjured.
