Stabbing case going to jury

The trial of a Kingston man charged with killing his wife will be heard today, Jan. 5, before Superior Court Judge James Mulvihill.

   Closing arguments by defense and prosecuting attorneys in the trial of a 55-year-old Kingston man charged with killing his wife will be heard today (Thursday) at state Superior Court in Middlesex County.
   Middlesex County Assistant Prosecutor Nicholas Sewitch said jury deliberations should begin after the summations.
   Boris Boretsky is charged with fatally stabbing Saoule "Lana" Moukhametova, 41, his wife of eight years, in March 2002. Mr. Boretsky was indicted in 2003 on charges of murder, aggravated assault and criminal contempt for violating a restraining order and making terroristic threats.
   The trial is being heard before Superior Court Judge James Mulvihill.
   Mr. Boretsky has been held at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center since his arrest on $1.5 million bail and is being represented by New Brunswick defense attorney Joseph Benedict.
