POLICE BLOTTER

   Police subdued a man at the Lakewood Court Motel on Route 130 at 10:20 p.m. Monday after receiving reports that he was running around in the area screaming, police said.
   Police said that when they arrived, the 40-year-old man was screaming that people were coming after him and he had spiders crawling on him, police said. Police subdued him and no charges were filed.

   A Hewlett Packard Pavilion desktop computer valued at $600 was stolen from outside the Travel Center in the Town Place shopping center on Route 27 between 6 p.m. Saturday and 8:15 a.m. Monday.
   Police said the computer was left outside the business by Federal Express, which delivered the computer on Saturday when the business was closed.

   A 2003 green Nissan Altima was stolen from a residence at Quincy Circle in Dayton between 6 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday.

   Michael Maples was charged with shoplifting, possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia after he allegedly stole $500 worth of power tools from Home Depot on Route 1 at 9:45 p.m. Saturday, police said.
   Police said Mr. Maples was seen by a cashier and a manger leaving the store without paying for two Dewalt cordless power drills and a Dewalt power planer. Police said Mr. Maples set off the security system when he was leaving the store.
   The manager of the store then went outside and approached Mr. Maples and an unknown accomplice in a Nissan Altima in the parking lot and asked if they planned on paying for the items, police said.
   Police said both men ran from the car and headed down Wynwood Drive.
   Police were able to apprehend Mr. Maples but not his accomplice. When charging him they found crack cocaine and a pipe in his pocket. They charged Mr. Maples, brought him to police headquarters and then transported him the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center in North Brunswick where he is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail.

   Somebody set a 2003 GMC sport utility vehicle at Cerullo’s Auto body on Route 1 near the South Brunswick Square Mall on fire sometime before 5:30 a.m. Saturday.
   Police said that they found the car at 5:30 a.m. on fire with a can of gasoline next to it. The car has Michigan license plates and the owners said their son had the car in New York City the night before. Police said the car was reported stolen out of Brooklyn sometime before 10 p.m. Friday.

   Someone stole $5,000 in jewelry and ransacked the upstairs bedrooms of an Angelica Court home in Princeton Walk between 5 p.m. Friday and 12:15 a.m. Saturday.
   Police said the front door of the home was kicked in kicked in and the alarm system to the house was disarmed before the intruders entered.

   Police said that they broke up a teenage drinking party at the Residence Inn at the intersection of Route 535 and Route 32 at 10 p.m. Friday.
   Police said that they were responding to a report of a fight at the hotel, and when they arrived they saw several teens in the parking lot who said that they had been in Room 622.
   Police said that there was no one in the room when they entered it but that there were several bottles of liquor and empty beer bottles in the room.
   Police said that no charges were filed and that the juveniles were turned over to their parents.

   Ramon Azcona, 31, of Trenton, was charged with driving while intoxicated after police pulled him over for speeding on Route 1 north near the intersection of Henderson Road at 12:30 a.m. Jan 12, police said.
   Police said that when they pulled Mr. Azcona over, his eyes were watery and bloodshot and he fumbled when looking for his documents. When police asked where he was coming from he said that he was coming from work. Then police asked if he had been drinking and police said that Mr. Azcona said he had one shot because it was his birthday. Police said that Mr. Azcona’s driver’s license stated that his birthday was March 11.
   Police had Mr. Azcona perform roadside sobriety tests, which he failed, and charged him with driving while intoxicated. They brought him to police headquarters where he failed a Breathalyzer test, police said.
   He was processed and released to a family member.
