FLORENCE
Police charged a distraught Roebling man with making terroristic threats, disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of a weapon Sunday morning after authorities say he threatened to kill himself with a sword.
According to police, officers were sent to West Third Street shortly before 7 a.m. to check on a report of 23-year-old Shawn Krail being disorderly at his house. Police said officers arrived to find Mr. Krail waving a 3-foot sword and yelling from his second floor rear porch that he would kill himself and any officers who got too close. According to police, Mr. Krail said he was upset over family issues.
After officers talked Mr. Krail into surrendering the sword, they charged him in connection with the incident. He was taken to the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
