Bessie C. (DiLaura) Manenty, 85, of Monroe, died Thursday, Feb. 9, at the University Medical Center at Princeton.
Born in Niagara Falls, N.Y., Ms. Manenty lived in Rahway for many years before moving to the Monroe Village Community 14 years ago. She Manenty was employed for 20 years as a records coordinator for Merck & Co., Rahway, retiring in 1982.
Her husband, Harold Manenty, died in 1989. She is survived by a daughter, Diane Buonanni of Monmouth Junction; a son, Harold Manenty of Sewaren; two brothers, John DiLaura of Niagara Falls, and Charles DiLaura of Lake Tahoe, Nev.; and four grandchildren.
The family will hold a private service in the spring in Niagara Falls, N.Y. Arrangements are by Lester Memorial Home, 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, Tenn.
