On March 17, the YMCA of Western Monmouth County, Freehold Township, will celebrate the 85th annual Black-tie Gala at the Battleground Country Club, Manalapan.
The Gala Committee led by co-chairs Kenneth Thomson, of Caliendo, Manning and Thomson, Freehold, and Patrick Preston, of Merrill Lynch, Freehold, has announced the selection of honorees Jacque Preston of Raymond Preston Inc. and New Jersey Natural Gas Co. as this year’s recipients of the YMCA Community Service Award.
According to a press release from the YMCA, Preston has served as a member of the board of directors of the YMCA for the past 11 years, most recently in the capacity of board chair. She has given her time, talent and resources to several projects that have had a direct effect on the lives of many children in the community. Through volunteerism on the part of its employees and grant programs, New Jersey Natural Gas Co. has been a loyal contributor to the YMCA as well as many other nonprofit organizations throughout Monmouth County.
CentraState Healthcare Foundation, New Jersey Natural Gas Co., Sweetwater Construction and Raymond Preston Inc. are among the major sponsors of the event.
All proceeds of the evening, which includes an ad journal, silent auction and super 50/50 raffle, will benefit the YCares Financial Assistance Program.
The evening will begin at 7 p.m. with a cocktail hour followed by dinner and dancing to the music of
Mission Dance.
