Nina Kaminski Volgyi

Mrs. Volgyi, 81, of South River, died March 3 in Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1979, she was employed as a packager at Sunshine Biscuits, Sayreville, where she worked for 15 years. Her husband, George S. Volgyi, died in 2003. Surviving are two daughters, Sandra Hoff of Sayreville and Diane Horvath of South River; and three grandchildren, Jamie and Jeffrey Hoff and Lauren Horvath. A service was held at Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, South River. Interment was in the church cemetery.

Charles F. Glock

Mr. Glock, 87, Myrtle Beach, S.C., formerly of South River, died March 6 in Myrtle Beach. Prior to his retirement in 1978, he was a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force. After that, he was employed at Hercules Inc., Parlin section of Sayreville. He was predeceased by two wives, Elaine Holsworth Glock and Lillian Glock. Surviving are his wife, Irene Sitkowski Glock; two daughters, Linda Rodriguez of Sebastian, Fla., and Susan Ragucci of the Columbus section of Mansfield; three brothers; four sisters; and two grandchildren, Victoria Parker of Hoboken and Kimberly Bruss of Robbinsville section of Washington Township. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Stella Mantzoros Calogrides

Mrs. Calogrides, 80, of East Brunswick, died March 15 at home. Her husband, George, died in 1985. Surviving are a son, Andrew of East Brunswick; two daughters, Amalia Millas of Astoria, N.Y., and Antonia Dimopoulos of Trenton; a brother, George Mantzoros of Andros, Greece; two sisters, Anna Stamos of Athens and Sophia Gavalias of Andros; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A service was held at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Piscataway. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.

Chester J. Fischer Sr.

Mr. Fischer, 72, of South Amboy, died March 15 in Amboy Care Center, Perth Amboy. Prior to his retirement in 1991, he was a groundskeeper for South Amboy Memorial Hospital. Surviving are his wife, Dolores LaQuadra Fischer; a son, Chester J. Jr. of Pennsylvania; a daughter, Catherine Vincent of the Parlin section of Sayreville; two stepsons, Robert of the Toms River section of Dover and Martin of South Amboy; and seven grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin.

Kazimiera Jozwiak Jakubowski

Mrs. Jakubowski, 75, of South River, died March 8 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Her husband, Jozef, died in 1981, and a grandson, Piotr Naglik, died in 1998. Surviving are four children, Krystyna Staszak and Kazimiera Naglik, both of South River, Andrzej of Spotswood, and Jerzy of South River, with whom she lived; a sister, Bozena Stachowiak of Poland; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

G. Raymond Conger Jr.

Mr. Conger, 81, of Milltown, died March 18 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to his retirement in 1989, he was employed as an office manager at Maul Electrical Contractors, Dayton section of South Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Marjorie Garretson Conger; two sons, Gary R. Conger and Jeffrey A. Conger, both of Milltown; a daughter, Judy M. Hickey of Pelham, Ga.; and four grandchildren. Services were held at Bronson and Guthlein Funeral Home, Milltown. Interment was in Van Liew Cemetery, New Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 62 S. Doris J. Meyers

Ms. Meyers, 74, of New Brunswick, died March 18 in Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1991, she was employed as a line operator at E.R. Squibb and Sons, North Brunswick, where she worked for more than 25 years. Surviving are a sister, Claire Williams of South River; a niece, Deborah Strincoski of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick; and a great-nephew and a great-niece, Paul Strincoski Jr. and Jessica Strincoski, both of Monmouth Junction. Services were held at Maliszewski Funeral Home, South River. Edna Agnitsch Squitieri

Mrs. Squitieri, 92, of Freehold Township, formerly of the Rossmoor adult community in Monroe, died March 12 at home. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles J. Agnitsch, and by a son, Dr. Robert Agnitsch. Surviving are a son, retired U.S. Navy Capt. Richard J. Agnitsch of Morris Plains; a daughter-in-law, Kathleen E. Nottage, also of Morris Plains; a stepdaughter, Lois Squitieri-Higley of Jackson; a stepson, Louis Richard Squitieri of Sanibel, Fla.; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and seven nieces. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Freehold Township. Interment was in the Cemetery of Holy Rood, Westbury, N.Y. Louis Gombos Jr.

Mr. Gombos, 97, of North Brunswick, died March 12 in Willow Creek Rehabilitation and Care Center, Somerset section of Franklin. He was the retired owner of two area businesses. Prior to that, he was a police officer in North Brunswick during the 1940s and 1950s, and was employed at E.I. DuPont, Parlin section of Sayreville. Surviving are his wife, Helen Beck Gombos; a son, Donald Gombos of Monroe; two brothers, Joseph Gombas of North Brunswick and John Gombas of Edison; a granddaughter; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Peace Church, North Brunswick. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Margaret J. Lecky Loya

Mrs. Loya, 87, of New Brunswick, died March 8 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1984, she was a sales clerk with Vornado Inc., East Brunswick. Surviving are her husband, Alex Loya; a son, Gary Loya of Monroe; a daughter, Diana Sichta of Sayreville; and two grandchildren. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick.

Mark Alan Kirschner

Mr. Kirschner, 57, of Old Bridge, formerly of New York City and East Brunswick, died March 14 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Nicknamed “Dr. K,” he sold advertising and promotional items as a sales representative for the Vernon Co., Old Bridge, where he worked for more than 20 years. He was predeceased by his mother, Pearl Levine Kirschner. Surviving are his wife, Marlys Kleinberg Kirschner; two daughters, Dana Marinaccio of Old Bridge and Carrie Kirschner of Prescott, Ariz.; his father, Harold Kirschner of Yonkers, N.Y.; a sister, Marlene Kraft of Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y.; and a granddaughter. Services were held at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick. Interment was in Old Montefiore Cemetery, St. Albans, N.Y.
