Event not necessary this year
The Hopewell Valley League of Women Voters has canceled its planned April 6 School Board Candidates’ Night.
Since the four candidates from Hopewell Township and Pennington are running unopposed for seats on the Hopewell Valley Regional Board of Education, there is no need for a debate this year.
In the township, candidates Jeffrey Bartolino and incumbent Linda Mitchell are running unopposed for two three-year seats. Werner Graf, an incumbent, is running unopposed for a one-year unexpired term, vacated by Mike Bruno. In Pennington, Kevin Doran is running unopposed for his second three-year term.
The school board and budget election is April 18. Polls will be open from 7 a.m.-9 p.m.
