Michele Katora of East Brunswick, age 9, will hold her second annual Alex’s Lemonade Stand from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 10 at 2 Biernacki Court, East Brunswick, corner of Old Stage Road, across from Spotswood ShopRite.
All proceeds will benefit the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research. Receipts can be provided for tax-deductible cash donations.

Choir Festival to end
concert series
The Presbyterian Church, West Church Street and Gatzmer Avenue, Jamesburg, will conclude its 2006 Concert Series at 7 p.m. on June 3 with its second semiannual Choir Festival, featuring the combined choirs of the Monmouth Presbytery and local churches.

Society Hill blood drive to benefit area hospitals
The Blood Center of New Jersey will sponsor a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 3 in the Society Hill Clubhouse, 400 Thames Drive, Old Bridge.
All donors will receive a free cholesterol test. A free continental breakfast, cookies and treats, coffee, tea and juice will be served.
Donors must be at least 18 years of age; 17-year-olds need parental permission. Participants must present a driver’s license or other photo identification and know their Social Security number. Individuals may donate blood every 56 days.
Blood donations will aid area hospitals.

Public invited to dance to music of big-band era

Law panel to offer wills, estate planning seminar
The New Jersey State Bar Foundation will present a free public seminar on wills and estate planning from 7-9 p.m. on June 13 at the New Jersey Law Center, One Constitution Square (off Ryders Lane), New Brunswick.

Contributions sought for vets monument fund
Donations are needed for the Combat Wounded Veterans Monument Fund of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Chapter 10. Funds are being raised to honor Middlesex County veterans of all wars who were combat wounded or killed in action. Plans are for a monument to be placed on the corner of George Street and Livingston Avenue, New Brunswick, in front of the Heldrich Center and across from the State Theatre. The monument will honor all those who have earned a Purple Heart, the oldest and only medal that honors all branches of the military.

Hospital sets Children’s Health and Safety Fair
Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick, will host its annual Children’s Health and Safety Fair from 10 a.m. to noon on June 3 (rain or shine) at the hospital’s main entrance, 254 Easton Ave.
The event, which is sponsored by the Children’s Hospital at Saint Peter’s, is designed to help parents and caregivers plan a safe, smart and healthy summer for their children.
Safety activities, such as basic life-support demonstrations, child car-seat safety checks and hand-washing techniques, will be offered. There will be interactive displays from community organizations including the American Red Cross, the Central New Jersey Maternal Child Health Consortium and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. Also featured will be hospital services such as Community Mobile Health, the Pediatric Emergency Department and the Center for Diabetes Self-Management and Education.

Senior Chai offers trip to McCarter Theater Senior Chai, a program of Jewish Family Service (JFS) of Southern Middlesex County, will offer a June 11 trip to see “Ridiculous Fraud” at the McCarter Theater, Princeton.
