Marlboro boy honored at autism conference

Noah Genovese-Mester, 8, has been named Junior Autism Awareness Ambassador of the Year by the New Jersey Center for Outreach and Services for the Autism Community (COSAC), a statewide nonprofit agency. Noah is a resident of Marlboro.

Noah was selected because he “has given time and resources to help make a difference in the lives of people with autism and has been selected because of his dedication, caring and generosity,” according to the press release from COSAC. The agency also announced that state Sen. Ellen Karcher has been named Legislator of the Year. She is a resident of Freehold Township.

Both Noah and Karcher accepted the awards at COSAC’s 24th annual “Issues in Autism” conference held May 19 in Atlantic City. The agency’s Web site is www.njcosac.org.
