Benjamin S. Konopacki

Mr. Konopacki, 83, of South River, died June 4 in Saint Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. From 1954-1991 he was employed in various capacities with Pulawski Savings and Loan Association, South River, which became Pulse Savings Bank. He was named the bank’s president and chief executive officer (CEO) in 1965, serving as president until 1989, when he became chairman of the board. He retired as CEO in 1991 but remained as chairman of the board until 1998. Surviving are his wife, Helen Indyk Konopacki; five children, Judith Dolman of Fort Bragg, Calif., Dr. Dennis Konopacki of Italy, Thomas Konopacki and Benjamin Konopacki Jr., both of Monroe, and Carol Makris of Vero Beach, Fla.; a brother, Chester Konopacki of Edison; two sisters, Blanche Seminara of East Brunswick and Estelle Zavotsky of South River; and five grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Mary of Ostrabrama Church, South River. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Mary C. Schaidaresis Visinski

Mrs. Visinski, 41, of Helmetta, formerly of Monroe, died June 9 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was a secretary for Top Driver, East Brunswick, where she worked since 1983. Surviving are her husband, Andrew Visinski; her father, Christopher Schaidaresis, and his wife, Anne, of Metuchen; her mother, Gloria Cannon of Monroe; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Arlene and Edward Visinski of Lacey; two sisters, Frances Neues and Claire Kelly, both of Monroe; her maternal grandmother, Gloria Farley of Spotswood; and a niece and two nephews. A Mass was offered at Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial and Donor Program, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Carolyn Blaylock

Mrs. Blaylock, 58, of Bristol, Tenn., formerly of Edison, died June 5 in Wilmont Hospice, Bristol. She was predeceased by her parents, Adeline and Harold Miller. Surviving are two daughters, Cheri Odum of Bristol, Va., and Carrie Blaylock of Bristol, Tenn.; a brother, David Miller of Califon; four sisters, Nancy McFadden of Old Bridge, Catherine Small of East Brunswick, Janet Boutillier of Lopatcong and Grace Kropiewnick of Bear, Del.; two nieces and three nephews, three grandchildren; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Lake Nelson Memorial Park, Piscataway. Memorial contributions may be made to Bristol Regional Medical Hospice Care, P.O.
