Advantage Engineering ann-ounced an agreement to merge with Schoor DePalma Inc., a 1,050-person engineering and consulting firm with office locations in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Maryland, Florida, Arizona and Mexico. Schoor DePalma’s recapitalization partner, Trivest Partners LP, will manage all financing elements of the acquisition agreement. No financial terms were disclosed.

Based in Manalapan, Schoor DePalma specializes in land development, public works, environmental management, transportation, building services, and telecommunications.

Advantage Engineering will continue to operate under its current name and will be a division of Schoor DePalma.

Headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Pa., Advantage Engineering specializes in geotechnical engineering, environmental engineering, and construction inspection. The combined firm has over 1,100 professionals located in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Arizona, New York, Maryland, Florida and Mexico, serving both the private and public sector.
