Robert Douglas Bennett

Mr. Bennett, 56, of Freehold Township, died Sept. 11 at home. He worked in the home-building industry for many years, and was a 1973 graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutherford (with campuses now in Madison and Teaneck). Mr. Bennett was predeceased in March by his father, John “Pete” Bennett. Surviving are his mother, Helen Bennett of Freehold Township; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ronald and Valerie Bennett of Jackson, Jeffrey and Janet Bennett of Ocean Township, and Scott Bennett of Freehold Township; two nieces, Megan and Cassie; and a nephew, Ryan. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.

Lillian Grossman

Mrs. Grossman, 83, of Cincinnati, died Sept. 4 at The Anderson Nursing Home, Anderson Township, Ohio. Born in New York, she resided in Freehold before moving to Cincinnati six years ago. Prior to her retirement, she worked for Frequency Engineering, Farming-dale. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Solomon. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Robin Grossman of Lakewood; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy (Harriet) and Byron Baxter of Richmond, Ohio; a brother, Edward Yoslowitz of Brooklyn; and one grandson. Services were held at Freehold Hebrew Benefit Society Cemetery, Freehold. Arrangements were under the direction of Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold.

Marie Bevacqua Anastasio

Mrs. Anastasio, 65, of East Brunswick, died Aug. 26 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement this year, she was a medical assistant with the Neurology and Headache Center, East Brunswick. She was predeceased by her parents, Rose and Frank Bevacqua. Surviving are her husband, Andrew A. Anastasio III; a son, Andrew IV of Jackson; a daughter, Debra Anastasio of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick; and four grandchildren. A service was held at Simpson United Methodist Church, Old Bridge. Entombment was in Frost Woods Cemetery, East Brunswick. Florence Grace DiSalvo

Mrs. DiSalvo, 74, of Old Bridge, died June 16 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to her retirement in 1990, she was employed as a family daycare provider in Old Bridge. Her husband, Michael, died in 1989. Surviving are a son, Michael of East Dover Township; three daughters, Roseann Thompson of the Cliffwood Beach section of Old Bridge, Trish Palehonki of Old Bridge and Maria Puopolo of Jackson; a brother, Vincent Passarelli of Freehold; a sister, Yvonne Cusanelli of Jackson; nine grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.
