Rape Care Program seeks volunteers

The Rape Care Program of 180 Turning Lives Around has received numerous community service awards for its members’ dedication to victims of sexual violence in Monmouth County. The nonprofit 180’s rape care advocates are members of the Monmouth County Sexual Assault Response Team, and volunteer their time helping victims in crisis.

The Rape Care Program is seeking men and women of all backgrounds to join their advocate team.

The intensive training will be held Saturdays, Jan. 6 through Feb. 10 and includes sexual assault awareness, crisis intervention, hot line counseling, the medical/legal/emotional needs of a sexual assault survivor, and the criminal justice system in relation to sexual assault.

Interested parties should call (732) 264-4360, ext. 258, or e-mail [email protected], and leave their name, address, telephone number and e-mail address, and they will receive an application and information packet by mail.
