Katerina Moncek
Katerina Moncek, 93, of Belford, died on Oct. 28, 2006, at Care One in Middletown. She had lived in Belford for 12 years. She lived in the Iselin section of Woodbridge for many years before moving to Belford.
She was born Oct. 29, 1912 in Czechoslovakia.
She is survived by her daughter Janet and son-in-law Nicholas Marx of Belford, a daughter, Martha Moncek of Iselin; a granddaughter, Lisa and her husband Frank Michalak of Middletown; and a great-grandson, Mitch Michalak of Middletown. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, who died in 1978.
Mrs. Moncek was a member of the Iselin Senior Citizens Club. She loved trips to Atlantic City and playing bingo.
Funeral arrangements were handled by the John F. Pfleger Funeral Home in Middletown. Burial was at Cloverleaf Cemetery in Woodbridge.

Yolanda Falco
Mrs. Falco, 81, of Manalapan, died Oct. 28, 2006, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. Born in Fort Lee, she formerly resided in Union City and Colonia, prior to moving to Manalapan six years ago. Mrs. Falco was predeceased by her husband, Frank in 1998. She is survived by a son, Frank Falco of Parlin; a daughter, Sherry Ann Ocasio of Manalapan; a brother, Anthony Picciano of Upper Saddle River; and six grandchildren. A Funeral Mass was offered at St. John Vianney Church, Colonia, followed by entombment at St. Gertrude Mausoleum, Colonia.
Philip Martin Lyman
Mr. Lyman, 51, of New Brunswick, died Oct. 23 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had resided in Denver and the Iselin section of Woodbridge before recently moving to New Brunswick. He was a self-employed craftsman, who served in the U.S. Navy during the 1970s. Surviving are his mother, Irene Donohue Lyman of Anaheim, Calif.; a son, Philip Lyman of Woodbridge, and his companion, Charlotte Long; a daughter and son-in-law, Adrienne and John Woodhull of Edison; and two grandchildren, Hailey Lyman and Marissa Bowden. Cremation was private, with Cremation Services of Central New Jersey, East Brunswick, in charge of arrangements.
Patricia A. Szczepaniak
Mrs. Szczepaniak, 77, of Manchester, died Oct. 25, 2006, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born and raised in Rahway, she had also lived there before moving to Cliffwood Beach in 1972 and then Manchester in 2001. She was employed for many years at the RCA plant in Woodbridge. Prior to retiring in 1991, she also worked for the state of New Jersey as a supervisor at Monmouth Day Training Center, as well as part time for The Arc of Monmouth. She loved counted cross-stitch, plastic canvass, scrapbooking and trips to Atlantic City. Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, John and Angela Szczepaniak, Gary Szczepaniak, and Christopher and Rebecca Szczepaniak; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sandra and Jaime Piedra, and Carol Szczepaniak; four grandchildren; and close friends Edna, Bernice and Arlene. Funeral services took place at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy, with burial at Rahway Cemetery, Rahway. The John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown, was in charge of arrangements. Larry W. Oberhuber
Mr. Oberhuber, 85, of Englishtown, died Oct. 28, 2006, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Elizabeth, he lived in New Brunswick before moving to Englishtown 41 years ago. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Oberhuber was a trucker for Hemmingway Trucking Company, Jersey City before retiring in 1984. He was predeceased by four siblings, John, Joseph, Betty Bergen and Ann Urillo; and a granddaughter. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Janet; children, Kathleen and her husband, Nick Gallicchio of Highland Park; Susan and her husband, Hank Cannella of Easton, Pa.; Theresa Cuozzo of Englishtown; Thomas and his wife, Susan Cuozzo of Somerville; Michael Cuozzo of Freehold; and Cathy and her husband, Eric Knapp of Englishtown; siblings, Mary Rose of Pulaski, N.Y. ; Theresa Buskirk and Helen Kapler, both of Edison; and three great- grandchildren. Celeste Vail Tyrrell
Mrs. Tyrrell, 64, of Edison, died Oct. 28, 2006, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in South Amboy, she lived in Edison for the past 24 years. Mrs. Tyrrell was a registered nurse at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy, before she retired. She was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Perth Amboy. She was a member of the Metuchen Country Club, a member and past board member of Women’s New Jersey Golf Association, a member and past board member of Garden State Association of New Jersey, and a member of the Women’s Metropolitan Golf Association. She was a graduate of Holy Name Hospital School of Nursing in Teaneck. Mrs. Tyrrell is survived by her husband, Eugene J. Tyrrell, M.D; a daughter, Moira V. Brennan of New York City; two stepsons, John J. Tyrrell of New York City and Eugene J. Tyrrell of Wanamassa; a stepdaughter, Nancy Mallon of Caldwell; four brothers, John T. Vail of Haiku, Hawaii, Paul J. Vail of Aiken, S.C., Joseph M. Vail of Montclair, and James P. Vail of Hazlet; four sisters, Mary T. Chapman of Camden, S.C., Kathleen T.
