Gary Michael Sarno

Mr. Sarno, 50, of Freehold, died Nov. 11, 2006, in Toms River. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he lived in Virginia Beach, Va., before moving to Freehold four years ago. Mr. Sarno was a construction laborer and a member of Local 28 of the Sheet Metal Workers Union International, New York City. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. He was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Erminio Sarno. Surviving are two daughters, Jessica Pasquinucci and her husband, Daniel, and Kimberly Sarno and her husband Rudy Bravo; a lifelong friend, Ava Sarno; two brothers, John and Anthony Sarno; a sister, Jean; and two granddaughters. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church. Arrangements were under the direction of Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold.

Wilma Pfeffer Gaynor

Mrs. Gaynor, 78, of Manalapan, died Nov. 13, 2006, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Elizabeth. She attended Drexel Institute, Philadelphia, and Upsula College, East Orange. Mrs. Gaynor was a former president of the Sisterhood of Freehold Jewish Center and a member of Hadassah. She married Martin R. Pfeffer in 1950 and raised her three sons in Freehold. She was later married to Bertram Gaynor and moved to Bradley Beach. Upon Mr. Gaynor’s death, she moved to Covered Bridge, Manalapan, where she spent her final years with her companion, Norman Paley. Mrs. Gaynor was predeceased by her sister, Shirley, and her brother, Edward. She is survived by three sons, James and his wife, Mara, of East Brunswick, Stephen and his wife, Susan, of Freehold, and Warren of Freehold; a sister, Lila of Boynton Beach, Fla.; and four grandchildren. Services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by interment at Congregation Agudath Achim Cemetery, Route 33, Freehold.

Anthony Octavio Licciardello

Mr. Licciardello, 39, of Jackson, died Nov. 9 in Jackson. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had resided in the Huguenot section of Staten Island, N.Y., before moving to Jackson eight years ago. He was a manager for Coast to Coast Seafood Brokers, Staten Island, for 18 years. He was also a member of the Bamm Hollow Country Club, Lincroft section of Middletown. Mr. Licciardello was predeceased by his mother, Frances. Surviving are his wife, Lori DeFrancesco Licciardello; two daughters, Stephanie and Victoria; his father, Rosario; a brother, Thomas; and two sisters, Dorothy Musumeci and Mariann Tornebene. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.

Natalie Zuk

Mrs. Zuk, 80, of Freehold died Nov. 6, 2006, at home. Born in Plains, Pa., she resided in Freehold for the past 48 years. She worked as a seamstress for Sport Coat Factory and was also employed by Lazer Save, Freehold. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Mrs. Zuk was predeceased by her husband, Alexander in 1992. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Maureen of Belmar; a daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Robert Niemeyer of Steamwood, Ill.; two sisters, Elizabeth Carrie and Irene Verhanovitz, both of Michigan; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services were under the direction of the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 E. Main St., Freehold. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.
