The Allentown Art Guild will hold its next monthly meeting on Friday, Jan. 19, 7-9 p.m. at the barn studio of Jeff Martin Photography, 78 North Main St., Allentown.
Whether the desired completed project is a personal photographic record of one’s own art or a portfolio that needs to be presented in a more professional manner, January’s guild workshop should not be missed. Guild member Jeff Martin, commercial photographer for more than 30 years, will demonstrate how to set up an inexpensive, yet effective, lighting system for making photographic copies of artwork.
In the second half of the workshop, Martin will demonstrate the best method for cutting professional-looking mats. Anyone wishing to try their hand at mat cutting may bring a piece of mat board to the meeting.
