Phyllis Blatt

   Phyllis Blatt, 73, of Monroe, died Sunday, Jan. 7, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
   Ms. Blatt was born in New York City. She lived in Westbury, Long Island, N.Y., and Somerset prior to moving to Monroe two years ago. Ms. Blatt was an administrative assistant at Rutgers University Mental Health Center in Piscataway. She retired in 1994. Ms. Blatt was a member of the Brandeis University National Women’s Committee, based in Waltham, Mass., and the National Council of Jewish Women, based in Concordia.
   She is survived by her son, Jay Blatt and his wife, Beth, of Monroe; her daughter, Roberta Rizzo and her husband, Dave, of Freehold; and her grandson, Jacob Adam Rizzo.
   Services were held Thursday, Jan. 11, at Marlboro Memorial Cemetery in Marlboro, under the direction of Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton St., Somerset.
