Cloggers support Project Linus NJ

Blanket Mission With a Heart, a program of Project Linus NJ Inc. (PLNJ), recently received a donation of 13 fleece “hugs” made by the members of the Rhythm in Motion 4-H Cloggers Club of Middlesex County. Group members cut the fleece at their club meetings, and the blankets were delivered to the PLNJ director, Hillary Roberts.

Project Linus was started in 1999 with one goal: one hospital. It now has more than 175 facilities that receive PLNJ handmade blankets year-round. The PLNJ director stated that a delivery will be made to Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge and Perth Amboy divisions, with the 4-H Cloggers’ blankets included.

Project Linus believes that every child deserves to feel safe and secure in this world, and the organization is dedicated to doing its part by demonstrating compassion. More information about PLNJ may be obtained by logging on to its Web site at http://www.blankiedepo.org. PLNJ programs include Blanket Mission With a Heart, the Birth Blanket Project, the Kids Helping Kids Service Learning Program and Volunteer to Volunteer.
