CareOne at Jackson, a nursing and rehabilitation center located at 11 History Lane, Jackson, will host a morning of community bingo and a continental breakfast 8-11 a.m. Wednesday, May 16. Needed are children’s swim apparel (sizes 2-12) and accessories including towels, flip-flops, sunblock, lip balm with sunscreen and baseball hats to be donated to The Samaritan Center of Manalapan and Open Door of Freehold. Baskin-Robbins ice cream specialty shop is kicking off summer early with a special “31 Cent Scoop Night” celebration, May 2 from 5-10 p.m. During the event, ice-cream lovers will have the opportunity to enjoy their favorite Baskin-Robbins ice cream flavor for only 31 cents, while paying tribute to local heroes.

Baskin-Robbins is partnering with the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF), an organization that honors America’s fallen fire heroes and their families. In celebration of 31 Cent Scoop Night, Baskin-Robbins will honor fire-fighting heroes by making a $100,000 donation to the organization.

Since 1992, NFFF has developed and expanded programs to honor fallen fire heroes and assist their families support the organization’s programs including, “Everyone Goes Home,” a program that helps to prevent fire-fighting line-of-duty deaths and injuries.
