Jazz benefit fights hunger

‘Harpin’ Help,” the annual food drive/fundraiser sponsored by the Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Foundation, takes place Sunday from 1 to 8:30 p.m. at Bar A (Anticipation), Lake Como. More than seven hours of live music will provide some great highlights, including a reunion of one of the Shore area’s most influential 1970s bands – The Blackberry Booze Band (at left), which later became Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes. Three of the four original members, Paul Dickler, Paul Green and David Meyers, will close the show. Harpin’ Help 2007 will benefit Ocean County Hunger Relief and JSJBF. Admission is $15 plus two nonperishable food or food-related items, or $20 without food. For information, call (732) 681-7422 or visit www.jsjbf.org.
