James Maul

   James "Jimmy" Maul, 66, died April 30 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital after a long battle with cancer. A native of the area, he was born and educated in Trenton and most recently lived in Pennington and Ewing Township.
   A graduate of Rider University, he began his career at the Department of Transportation and retired after 33 years to pursue real estate. He also operated his own income tax business and taught evening classes at Rider University. He was licensed in real estate in 1975 and had been affiliated with Rader Realty, Weidel, Re/Max, and most recently at Keller Williams as Broker Associate/Partner-Owner, as well as Broker Emeritus.
   A former member of the Pennington Zoning Board of Adjustment, he was a member of the Hopewell Valley Education Foundation (from which he was the inaugural recipient of the E2 Award), the Mercer County Board of Realtors (awarded Mercer County Professional of the year by his real estate peers), Mercer County Million Dollar Club, various accountant memberships, Board of Directors for Rider Alumni, and director emeritus of the DOT Credit Union. He also was a member of St. James Church in Pennington.
   Predeceased by his parents Nicholas and Sadie Smith Maul, he is survived by his wife Lynda Walsh Maul; a son Jamieson N. Maul of Arlington, Va.; a daughter Lauren K. Maul of West Trenton; a sister June Beyer of West Trenton; and many nieces and nephews.
   A mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday at St. George’s R.C. Church, Titusville.
   Entombment was in Ewing Church Cemetery Mausoleum, Ewing.
   Arrangements were by Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, Pennington Circle.
