Joan M. Senkewicz

Mrs. Senkewicz, 71, of the Belford section of Middletown, died April 23, 2007, at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. Born in Newark, she resided in Kearny prior to relocating to Belford in 1959. She and her husband co-owned J’s Antiques. She was also employed at JACE Company, and prior to that, was a secretary at Prudential for several years. She was predeceased by a sister, Arlene Grella. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John J. Senkewicz; two sons and daughters-in-law, John W. and Deirdre Senkewicz of Tinton Falls, and James R. and Dona Senkewicz of Jackson; a brother, Robert Walbroel of Bloomsberg, Pa.; and two grandchildren.

Rose-Marie “Bunny” Turley

Mrs. Turley, 73, of Jackson, died April 17, 2007, at her daughter’s home in Jackson. She was born in Manhattan, N.Y., and had lived in Old Bridge before moving to Jackson in 1983. A graduate of the Bellevue School of Nursing in Manhattan, she was a veterinary assistant at Bricktown Veterinary Hospital, Brick. She was a choir member at Cathedral of the Air, Naval Air Engineering Station, Lakehurst, and a member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association. She was also a 4-H volunteer. Mrs. Turley was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Turley, in 1986. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and LisaMarie Turley of Charlotte, N.C.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Rose-Marie Turley of Freehold Township, Catherine “Cathy” and Garland Grammer of Jackson, and Carolyn “Cindy” and Keith Sanford of Nescopeck, Pa.; a sister, Kathryn Marciano of Union; and 10 grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold Township, followed by interment at Forest Green Park Cemetery, Marlboro. The Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, was in charge of arrangements.

Lucy P. Grucci Marino

Mrs. Marino, 82, of Hazlet, died April 20, 2007, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she resided there prior to relocating to Hazlet 47 years ago. She was a crossing guard and school aide at Hazlet Township Schools for 15 years, retiring in 1983. She was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. She is survived by her husband, Martin Marino; three daughters and one son-in-law, JoAnne and Richard Dinen of Hazlet, Angela Pinto of Whiting, and Maryanne Krenz of the Lincroft section of Middletown; five sons and three daughters-in-law, Ron and Georgine Napurano of Smithtown, N.Y., Martin Marino Jr. of Basking Ridge, Philip and Geraldine Traina of Middletown, Michael Traina of Wall, and Vincent and Donna Traina of Jackson; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Holy Family Church. Entombment was at St. Joseph’s Mausoleum, Keyport. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport. Gloria Ester Diaz

Ms. Diaz, 96, of Lakewood, died April 29 at home. Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, she resided in Lakewood for the past 12 years. She was a communicant and active volunteer of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Lakewood. She is survived by two sons, Nelson Rodriquez of Manchester and Julio Padilla of Chicago; a daughter, Deanna DeMarco of Apopka, Fla.; two brothers, Louis Diaz of New York City and Celso Diaz of Connecticut; a sister, Luisa Martinez of Chicago; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Anthony’s Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, was in charge of the arrangements.
