Weekly Farmer’s Market returns for second season

The weekly Farmer’s Market, hosted by the Freehold Center Partnership (FCP), is returning for a second season on Tuesday, June 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Hall of Records Plaza and will continue every Tuesday through Oct. 23. Free parking is available in the Hall of Records parking lot at East Main Street and the Court Street lot behind CVS.

The Farmer’s Market will bring the season’s freshest harvest straight from the fields to downtown Freehold for shopping convenience. Participating farmers include Farmer Al’s Market and Greenhouse, Monroe Township, selling fruits, vegetables and plants; and C. Casola Farms, Marlboro, with a wide selection of nursery stock, vegetables, fruits, sunflowers and hanging baskets. The Peanut Man, Toms River, will sell peanuts, nuts and candy.

In addition to the Farmer’s Markets, the FCP’s yearlong series of events include the AntiqueFest/Art Show, May 20 (rain date, May 27); Kruise Nites the last Thursday of the month, May 31 through Aug. 30; the Freehold Idol Auditions, ten Wednesdays beginning June 13 (except July Fourth); Independence Day Celebration on July Fourth; Dine Around, Aug. 21; the San Gennaro/AntiqueFest, Sept. 16; and its Summer Concert Series on Thursdays, July through September.
