Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Monmouth County will hold its first walkathon, “Stepping Up for Abused Kids,” June 2 at Joe Palaia Park, Ocean Township. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m., and the walk begins at 10 a.m. Congressman Frank Pallone will take part in the walk.
The daylong event will also feature children’s activities, games and prizes. Proceeds benefit CASA’s mission to recruit, screen and train volunteers to act on behalf of abused and neglected children in foster care.
