Peter T. DiStefano

Mr. DiStefano, 77, of Greenbriar at Marlboro, died May 24, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and had lived in Staten Island, N.Y., before moving to Marlboro 19 years ago. Prior to retiring in 1989, he was a self-employed electrical contractor in New York City. He was a communicant of St. Gabriel’s Roman Catholic Church, Marlboro, where he also served as an usher. He was a member of Greenbriar’s bowling league, as well as an avid fan of the New York Giants and the New York Mets. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Isabel; a son and daughter-in-law, Peter and Carolyn DiStefano of Downingtown, Pa.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and George Ferone of Queensbury, N.Y., and Cathy and Charles Fabiano of Raleigh, N.C.; a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Lenny Salemi of Long Island, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Gabriel’s Church, followed by entombment at St. Gabriel’s Mausoleum, Marlboro. Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.
