Garrett Gilbert, Tinton Falls, received a bachelor of arts degree in political science at the spring commencement exercises at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison. Gilbert also received the university’s highest honor, the Florham Student Pinnacle Award, which is presented to a graduate who has demonstrated academic excellence, public service and commitment to the university. Gilbert was president of the student government association and resident student association, and was involved in the finance club and green club. He was also a collegiate All-American Scholar, Charter Day Scholar, and was named to “Who’s Who Among American College Students.” He will pursue a master of business administration degree in business finance at the university.

Scott Johnson, Tinton Falls, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Seton Hall University, South Orange, where he is majoring in criminal justice. A graduate of Monmouth Regional High School, Tinton Falls, he is also active in intramural sports at Seton Hall. He is the son of Kathy and Jake Johnson.

Joey Tietz, Tinton Falls, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at East Stroudsburg (Pa.) University. He was also recognized by the student senate and was named February Student of the Month for commitment to the student body and outstanding service at the university. A 2005 graduate of Monmouth Regional High School, Tinton Falls, he is the son of Eileen and Joe Tietz.
