Two middle schools set graduations

FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP – Separate commencement ceremonies for the Free-hold Township School District’s two middle schools will be held this week at Freehold Township High School.

Approximately 250 eighth grade pupils from the Eisenhower Middles School will receive their diplomas tonight at 6 p.m.

The graduation ceremonies will feature welcoming and farewell speeches delivered by students Jenna LaMagna and Chris-tina Burbelo, respectively.

Principal Diane Brethauer will address the students.

The commencement ceremonies for the Barkalow Middle School will begin at 6 p.m. June 14. Principal John Soviero will address approximately 285 graduates.

Jessica Schram will deliver an address of welcome and Mia O’Brien will present a farewell speech.

Superintendent of Schools William Setaro and Freehold Township Board of Education members will be the guest speakers at both graduation ceremonies.

The following awards will be presented at the Barkalow Middle School graduation: Marshall W. Errickson Award for Excellence in Social Studies, Scholastic Achievement Award for Excellence in Science, Scholastic Achievement Award for Excellence in Mathematics, Dr. Catherine M. Snyder Language Arts Award for Excellence in Language Arts, Sylvia Fox Foreign Language Award for Excellence in Spanish, Daughters of the American Revolution Award, Thomas Gealey Out-standing Scholar Award, and Freehold Township Education Association Out-standing Scholar Award.
