Alvina L. Thompson

Mrs. Thompson, 96, of South River, died June 6, 2007, at home. Her husband, Charles Thompson, died in 1980. Surviving are a son, Douglas Thompson, and his wife, Carol, of Millstone; a daughter, Eileen Barton, and her husband, Neal, of Sayreville; two brothers, James Thoms of Beachwood and Russell Thoms of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Services were held at Rezem Funeral Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Ocean View Cemetery, Staten Island, N.Y. Frances P. DellaRocca

Mrs. DellaRocca, of Applewood Estates, Freehold Township, died June 1, 2007, at home. She was born in Jersey City and had resided in Lakewood before moving to Freehold Township four years ago. Prior to retiring, she was a proofreader for The Jersey Journal, Jersey City. She had previously been employed by a printing company in Jersey City. Mrs. DellaRocca was predeceased by her first husband, Edward R. Fausak, in 1955; her second husband, Alfonso R. DellaRocca, in 1997; and a brother and sister, Thomas and Lorraine. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Robert E. and Christine Fausak of Freehold Township; a sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Donald Byrnes of Bayonne; a sister-in-law, Joanne McComb; and two grandchildren, Edward and Abagail. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold Township. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.
