FINANCIAL SERVICES
   Lisa M. Thouin of Hamilton has been elected president of the Mercer Chapter of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants for a one-year term. She joined the society in 1992, and has served as vice president, secretary and director in the Mercer Chapter. Currently a manger at Mercadien P.C., Ms. Thouin has more than 20 years of experience in the field of public accounting.

   Klatzkin & Co. LLP announced the following new hires: Frank Sweeney, as senior accountant. A graduate of Rider College, he resides in Trenton with his two daughters.
   Neal Steed, a graduate of Georgian Court University. He served as a U.S. Navy machinist, and currently resides in Lakewood.
   After interning with Klatzkin & Co. last year, David Manuele has joined the firm full-time. He is a 2007 magna cum laude graduate of Rider University. He resides in Hamilton with his wife, Laura and three young children. Klatzkin & Co., with offices in Hamilton and Langhorne, Pa. offers accounting, tax, computer, and management advisory services.
RESEARCH
   Princeton resident Stuart Kerachsky was recently named senior vice president for strategic assessment and implementation at Mathematica Policy Research Inc. With Mathematica since 1974, he has held key positions including director of the research division and, most recently, director of the surveys and information system division. Dr. Kerachsky’s policy expertise spans welfare, employment, child care, and education and training.
   Amy Johnson steps up to fill the position of director of the surveys and information services division. Dr. Johnson, a resident of Philadelphia, joined Mathematica in 1997.
   Mathematica is a nonpartisan firm, conducting policy research and surveys for federal and state governments, foundations, and private-sector clients. The employee-owned company has offices in West Windsor, Washington, D.C., and Cambridge, Mass.
NONPROFIT
   Ten local professional advisors have been named to the Princeton Area Community Foundation’s professional advisor recognition society.
   The society was created to recognize the commitment of advisors to the community through their work with the community foundation to advance philanthropy and encourage charitable giving across central New Jersey.

LAW
   Szaferman, Lakind, Blumstein, Blader & Lehmann, P.C., a statewide law firm based in Lawrence, announced the recent addition of Christine Hyres O’Donnell to its staff. Ms. O’Donnell practices in the area of trust and estates, and specializes in guardianship/conservationship and estate matters.
   Ms. O’Donnell was appointed to the office of New Jersey Public Guardian for Elderly Adults by Gov. Christine Todd Whitman in 1998. Prior to her appointment, she held the position of general counsel to the Office of the Public Guardian.

   Archer & Greiner P.C. has announced the addition of Ross Aboff to the firm’s litigation department in the West Windsor office. He will concentrate his practice in commercial litigation, estate and trust litigation, construction and technology litigation, environmental matters and land use.
   Prior to joining Archer & Greiner, Mr. Aboff practiced at Lowenstein Sandler. Before entering the legal field, Mr. Aboff was an engineer and supervisory project officer for the U.S. Army at Fort Monmouth.
HEALTH & MEDICINE
   Quakerbridge Radiology Associates announced additions to its staff of medical professionals. Dr. Jeffrey W. Gerstel and Dr. Joseph R. Perno, both joined as diagnostic radiologists in the imaging department.
   Quakerbridge Radiology Associates, founded in 1974, has facilities, in Mercerville and Lawrenceville.

   Kelly D. Myers, co-founder and chief executive officer of Qforma, has been named to the PharmaVOICE list of the "100 Most Inspiring People in the Life Sciences Industry."
   Qforma, an advanced analytics company providing solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, has offices on Nassau Street in Princeton to serve the pharma- and biotech industry.
MARKETING
   JK Design, a Hillsborough Web development and print media firm, recently announced the following new hires:
   Steve Austin as Web producer, responsible for project management, client support and coordination of teams involved in Web page development and interactive projects; Bradford McEvilly, Web developer, responsible for the front-end programming and implementation of Web site designs; Christine Milan as a copywriter; Elaine Susarchick, production coordinator, who will be preparing proposals and estimates, coordinating projects and clients and staff designers, and maintaining the company’s image library; and Omar Joseph, account manager, responsible for managing the daily workflow of client projects and coordinating with vendors and staff to provide client support.
RETAIL
   Hamilton Jewelers announced the promotion of Terri Goldsmith to store manager of the Princeton location. Ms. Goldsmith has been with Hamilton Jewelers seven years, joining the company shortly after her graduation from Rider University.
   Hamilton Jewelers is a third generation, family-owned and operated business specializing in fine jewelry, timepieces and home accessories. The store has locations in Princeton, Lawrenceville and Red Bank; as well as Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
CONSTRUCTION
   Don Ehret recently moved from project superintendent for V.J. Scozzari & Sons Inc. to project estimator. His responsibilities will include coordinating contractor and vendor relationships, supporting scheduling activities, and budget and estimating during the pre-construction and construction phase of projects.
