Rose M. Del Cielo Ingandela

Mrs. Ingandela, 84, of Edison, died July 4 2007 at the Barbara Cheung Memorial Hospice, Edison. Born in Altoona, Pa., she resided in New Brunswick 15 years, prior to relocating to Edison more than 60 years ago. She was a clerical worker at E.R. Squibb Company, Princeton, for 18 years, retiring 22 years ago. Prior to that, she was an office assistant for the sight conservation office of the Blind of Middlesex County. Prior to that, she sold real estate, and was a record keeper for the Middlesex County Court System. She was an aircraft riveter for the Lockheed Company during World War II. She enjoyed bowling, cooking, gardening and ballroom dancing. She was predeceased by two sons, Martin in 2000, and Joseph Ingandela Jr. in March; her husband, Joseph in 1958; a sister, Grace Scaletti; and a brother, Sam Del Cielo. She is survived by a daughter, Bonnie Ingandela DeFazio of Flemington; a daughter-in-law, Ruth Ingandela of North Brunswick; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Entombment was at Franklin Memorial Park Mausoleum, North Brunswick. Arrangements were by Selover Funeral Home, North Brunswick.

John T. Marcason

Mr. Marcason, 94, of East Brunswick, formerly of South River, died July 3, 2007, in Francis E. Parker Memorial Home, Piscataway. Prior to his retirement in 1965, he was a woodshop and mechanical-drawing teacher and the head of the fine arts department at Metuchen High School, where he worked for 42 years. During World War II, he worked at Raritan Arsenal, Edison. He and his late wife, Mary, taught several local adult-education ballroom-dancing classes. Surviving is a daughter, Karen Marcason of North Brunswick. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South River. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Mr. Goldsmith, 76, of Freehold, died July 2, 2007, at home. Mr. Goldsmith was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and had lived in Edison before moving to Farmingdale in 1992. He was an insulation estimator for G.B.I. Insulation, Edison, and Farmingdale, until his retirement in 1992. Prior to that, Mr. Goldsmith worked at the Ford Assembly Plant, Edison, retiring in 1987. A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he served during the Korean War. He was a member of the Lacey Golf Association. He was predeceased by a grandson, Reed Goldsmith, in 2006. Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Peake Goldsmith; four sons, Thomas, Randall, Michael and Ronald Goldsmith, all of Farmingdale; a daughter, Cathy Goldsmith of Farmingdale; a brother, William Van Doren of Florida; two sisters, Edith Barber of Edison and Julia Kistler of Metuchen; and 10 grandchildren. Services were held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by private interment. William B. Baxter

Mr. Baxter, 83, of Manalapan, died July 5, 2007, at home. Born in Prattsburg, N.Y., he had lived in Edison before moving to Manalapan 33 years ago. After graduating from Seton Hall University, South Orange, Mr. Baxter had worked for Sylvan Contracting, Perth Amboy, until he retired in 1996. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He was a communicant of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan, and a member of the Knights of Columbus Prince of Peace Council. Mr. Baxter is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patricia; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Cynthia of Ho-Ho-Kus; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Ken Steinitz of Manalapan; a brother, Peter of San Diego; and three grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.
