Summer concert series welcomes gospel singers

The Freehold Center Partnership’s summer concert series is under way with its next show on Thursday, July 19 from 7:30-9:30 p.m. The concert is free and will be held in the Hall of Records parking lot on East Main Street. This is the first time that local gospel singers have been included in this exciting roster of entertainers.

Join in for the soulful melodies of the Freehold Church of God Mass Choir (Freehold Church of God, Freehold), Voices of Hope Choir (New Hope Baptist Church, Freehold), Holy Echoes (Freehold), Greater Emanuel Temple Mass Choir (Greater Emanuel Temple, Neptune), and duo Pamela and Miashia.

The lineup for the Summer Concert Series, held on Thursdays, July through September, is: Aug. 2, The Kootz Band; Aug. 9, The Del Vikings; Aug. 16, Sensational Soul Cruisers; Aug. 15, Freehold Idol finale; and Sept. 27, The Nerds in the Summer Concert Finale.

In addition to the Summer Concert Series, the FCP’s series of events includes Kruise Nites on the last Thursday of each month through Aug. 30; the Freehold Idol Auditions, Wednesdays through Aug. 8; Dine Around, Aug. 21; and the San Gennaro/AntiqueFest, Sept. 16.
