Authors will visit library, discuss writing

New Jersey authors Dawn Miller and Irene Peterson will visit the Spotswood Public Library, 548 Main St., at noon on Aug. 20.

The public is invited to meet the authors, who will offer an open-ended discussion on the writing process, the trials of seeking a publisher, the joys of publication and the complications of being an author while raising a family.

Miller, a resident of Spotswood and a graduate of Douglass College of Rutgers University, New Brunswick, published her first novel, “Murderous Descent,” last year. Her latest title, “Portrait of Vengeance,” was released in May.

Peterson, a resident of Bridgewater, won the 2006 Golden Leaf Award for best single title for her first book, “Glory Days.” Her second work, “Kisses to Go,” was published in March.

Reservations are recommended. Refreshments will be served.
