Registration under way for community courses

A variety of programs are available through the East Brunswick Public Schools Office of Community Programs.

“Summertime Learning” sessions are open to youngsters in second-sixth grades and will run from 9 a.m. to noon, Aug. 20-24. Students entering second and third grade are invited to participate in “Diggin’ for Dinosaurs, Rockin’ Rocks and Crystal Creations.” Youngsters entering grades 5 and 6 will take part in “Crime Scene Investigations.”

Registration is being accepted for “PSAT Preparation,” open to students in 10th and 11th grades. The course will be taught by East Brunswick Public Schools teachers.

The Early Morning Program, available to students in each of East Brunswick’s eight elementary schools, is accepting enrollment for fall.

Interested individuals may view catalogs and brochures and download registration forms by logging on to www.ebnet.org and clicking on Community Programs.

Mail-in registration is preferred for the Fall 2007 Adult and Community Education Program. Classes include “Introduction to Chinese,” “Yoga,” “Lego Star Wars,” “Videotaping,” “Computers,” “CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation),” “Dance,” “Cardio-Boxing,” “Thai Cooking,” “Cartooning for Children,” “Botanical Painting” and more.
