Walter C. Huthansel, 79, of Kendall Park and Ocean Beach and Yacht Club Unit II, died Saturday, Aug. 11.
Born in Lyndhurst, he was a resident of Kendall Park since 1959. Mr. Huthansel served in the Navy from 1946 to 1948. He worked for Con Edison in New York for more than 35 years, and was a longtime member of Ocean Beach and Yacht Club Unit II.
His parents, parents, Charles and Agnes; a brother, William; and a daughter, Janet, are deceased. He was survived by his wife, Madeline; a son, Kenneth W.; a daughter, Nancy (Ken) Lackey; a sister, Rita Morrell; and four grandchildren, Dilynn, Wyatt, Frank and Madeline.
Calling hours were Tuesday, Aug. 14, followed by funeral services at M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction.
