SCHOOL BOARD UPDATE

A series of personnel actions approved unanimously by the school board Monday night include those listed below.
The teacher salaries are pending ratification of a new teachers’ contract, on which negotiations currently are under way.
• Appointment of Susan Corvo-Miller as a speech language therapist at Central High School and Timberlane Middle School for 2007-2008 at an annual salary of $81,724.
• Appointment of Jo-Ann Kammler as a communications support specialist for 2007-2008 at an annual salary of $47,000.
• Appointment of Frances Szymanek as a special education teacher at Stony Brook Elementary for 2007-2008 at an annual salary of$60,188.
• Appointment of Maria Russo as an elementary teacher at Stony Brook Elementary for 2007-2008 at an annual salary of $43,910.
• Appointment of Brynne Mentzer as an elementary teacher at Stony Brook for 2007-2008 at an annual salary of $43,910.
• Appointment of Sarah Giallella as a special education teacher at Toll Gate Grammar for 2007-2008, at an annual salary of $43,910.
• Acceptance of the resignation of Diane Jones-Davison, itinerant school nurse, effective Sep. 21.
• Acceptance of the resignation of Anna Barcellona, teacher at Stony Brook, effective Aug. 21.
