LWV workshops slated for Sept. 8 at Rutgers

The League of Women Voters (LWV) of New Jersey will hold fall workshops Sept. 8 at Tillet Hall, Rutgers University, Livingston. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m., and the workshops are open to the public.

The opening session will feature the discussion, “Voting Rights of Those in Conflict with the Law.” Speaker will be Ed Martone, former executive director of ACLU-NJ and member of the Nutley League of Women Voters. “Global Climate Change: Challenge and Opportunity” led by League members Dr. Judy Kramer and Nancy Polan will follow. Afternoon sessions will be “Making Your Voice Heard,” “Presidents/Membership Roundtable,” and “Voter Service: The Heart of the League.”
