Monmouth County SPCA (MCSPCA), Eatontown, and Red Bank Veterinary Hospital, will present the 14th annual dog walk and pet fair Oct. 6 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Brookdale Community College, Newman Springs Road, Lincroft section of Middletown.
The event will feature various foods, music, door prizes, a 50/50, dog costume contest, arts and crafts, a police canine unit demonstration, dog agility, dog Frisbee champs, a doggie wedding chapel, and vendors. Prizes are awarded for “walkers” that collect the most money. Emcee and chair will be Lou Russo of 94.3 The Point. Two bulletproof vests will be presented at the awards ceremony to the police canines of Hazlet and Holmdel, and a plaque posthumously to Callie, a rottweiler for pet therapy services.
Minimum donation is $25 per dog, and for $50, donors receive a commemorative Tshirt. For individuals without dogs, donation is $15 per individual and $25 for families/ groups (two to four individuals).
