October programs at the Oceanic Library

Community programs at the Oceanic Free Library in Rumson include the Book Club, which meets the last Thursday of the month at 1:30 p.m. This month’s book is Alice Munro’s “Runaway Stories.”

The library hosts a Knitting Group, which meets Fridays at 2 p.m.

Children’s programs scheduled at the library are: Baby Storytime, for ages 10- 23 months with parent, Tuesdays at 10 a.m.; Toddler Storytime, for ages 2-3, Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m.; Preschool Storytime, ages 3-5, Tuesdays at 11 a.m.

School-age programs for children kindergarten age and up are presented Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m.

Featured artists in October will be Roy Carman, who will display his paintings, and Michelle Tawil, whose jewelry creations will be in the case throughout October.

The Oceanic Free Library is located at Avenue of Two Rivers.

Hours are Monday and Thursday 1 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For information, call (732) 842- 2692.
